ระบบปฏิบัติการแมคอินทอช(Macintosh Operating System)




แมคอินทอช (Macintosh) หรือแมค (Mac) เป็นชื่อของผลิตภัณฑ์เครื่องคอมพิวเตอร์ที่พัฒนา ออกแบบ และจำหน่ายโดยบริษัทแอปเปิล แมคอินทอชเครื่องแรกออกวางจำหน่ายเมื่อ 24 มกราคม พ.ศ. 2527 ออกแบบโดย เจฟ ราสกิน บริษัท สหวิริยา โอเอ จำกัด เป็นผู้นำเข้าและเป็นตัวแทนจัดจำหน่ายรายแรกของไทย ซึ่งรุ่นแรกที่ได้เปิดตัวคือMacintosh Plus ซึ่งนับได้ว่า Macintosh เป็นผู้เริ่มพลิกวงการพิมพ์ และออกแบบ โดยใช้ ระบบปฏิบัติการ ที่ถือว่า ฉลาด และเป็นมิตร กับ ผู้ใช้งานมากที่สุดในขณะนั้น แต่เนื่องจากราคาที่สูงมากในขณะนั้น ทำให้ยังไม่แพร่หลายในหมู่ ผู้ใช้ทั่วไป

 เครื่องคอมพิวเตอร์แมคอินทอชจะมีการติดตั้งซอฟต์แวร์ระบบปฏิบัติการเฉพาะในชื่อแมคโอเอส ซึ่งรุ่นปัจจุบันคือ Mac OS X 10.9 (Mavericks) ปัจจุบันเครื่องคอมพิวเตอร์แมคอินทอชซึ่งเปลี่ยนมาใช้ หน่วยประมวลผลกลางของอินเทลสามารถทำงานกับซอฟต์แวร์ระบบปฏิบัติการอื่นเช่น ลินุกซ์ หรือ วินโดวส์ได้

ข้อดี

ข้อเสีย

1) MS Office แสดงผลภาษาไทยไม่สมบูรณ์เนื่องจากไม่มี font ภาษาไทยในระบบ Windows และ MS Office for Mac ไม่สามารถตัดคำภาษาไทยได้ ถึงเราจะสามารถเปลี่ยน font บน Mac ให้แสดงภาษาไทยได้ (หรือนำ font บน Windows มาติดตั้งบน Mac) แต่ layout หรือ format ของเอกสารก็จะเพี้ยนไม่สวยงามเหมือนต้นฉบับ ต้องมาจัด format ใหม่
 MS Office display language in Thai is incomplete without font in Windows and MS Office for Mac can rip the English in Thailand. 2) โปรแกรมบางตัวไม่มี for Mac มีแต่ for Windows เท่านั้น เช่น โปรแกรมที่เอาไว้ควบคุมเครื่องจักร อุปกรณ์  หรือโปรแกรมเฉพาะทาง แต่โปรแกรมยอดนิยมส่วนใหญ่จะมีบน Mac ถ้าหากไม่มีก็หาโปรแกรมทดแทนได้ ความสามารถไม่ต่างไปจาก Windows เลยจริงอยู่ว่าโปรแกรม for Windows มีให้เลือกเยอะกว่า
